Bundle of Love was created from a personal experience. I am a grandmother and have three daughters and six grandchildren. I live in Elk River, Minnesota. Elk River is a NW suburb of Minneapolis. All of my slings I produce are homemade from start to finish. I take great pride in everyone of my slings. I would very much like you to try one, you will love it.
I would like to share with you, my daughters experience with her own daughter:
After the birth of my daughter's second child, it was determined after numerous trips to the emergency room, her baby suffered from chronic acid reflux and a common diagnosis of colic. ( pictured above). This diagnosis explained the many sleepless nights and frustrating days. This baby needed to be swaddled very tightly and rocked or held close to my daughters chest in an upright position. This also meant holding the baby in her arms most of the time. Her pediatrician recommended to my daughter a "sling". The slings that were available at the stores did not satisfy the needs of her child or my daughters. My daughter also had an 18 month old, so she needed her hands free for household responsibilities, shopping, activity centers, parks, restuarants and still be able to carry the baby for 8 hours or more.
After numerous attempts to find the "perfect" sling, my daughter found these slings/baby carriers were not easy to manuver and did not feel secure. At this point we were determined we could help her by putting our heads together and design for her a sling.. A sling that would be easy on her back, make baby feel swaddled at ALL times, be able to carry baby around for hours, have the options to position baby in ways that assisted in passing of gas, digestion, bonding, and still keep the baby comfortable and happy.
Another experience my daughter had while traveling:
When my daughter and her family were traveling by air, a situation came up in which my daughter assisted another young mother that was traveling with a very unhappy baby. My daughter offered to lend this frustrated young mother her sling while on the flight. This poor mother needed to get up constantly and walk her baby, to keep the baby from crying. The mother accepted the offer. Within minutes the baby calmed down. The mother was able to go back and sit down with her baby in the sling. The baby slept in peace the rest of the flight. As you can imagine, many "thank yous" were said to my daughter by many passengers.
The mother was so pleased by the instant results, the mother asked my daughter where she could get a sling just like the one she had borrowed. My daughter told her the sling was home made and offered to have one made for her like the one she had worn. Soon others, including my daughters friends and acquaintances were asking to make them a sling as well. It became the perfect baby gift!
Each one of my slings are handmade and made with quality and pride. My goal is to continue making others as happy and pleased as was the mother on the flight.
Thank you and have a great wonderful day,
Gayle
